The 3M Extra Fine PLUS is a microfine abrasive paste designed to remove fine scratches on all types of conventional and scratch-resistant original and repair paints, providing a high gloss finish.
Newer vehicles have very thin clear coats from the factory. The paste's extremely uniform and fine abrasive particles minimize the risk of sand-through, safely removing fine scratches like those from car washes.
In 3M's current finishing process, it's used to address imperfections in freshly applied repair paints after sanding with 3M Trizact 443 SA or after using 3M Perfect-it III Abrasive Paste PLUS 50417.
It's applied with a polishing machine at 1500 to 2500 RPM. For best results, use with 3M Foam 50488 and manually with a firm applicator pad.
