3M pads made of felt, fur, and foam, sorted from hard/abrasive for polishing paste to soft for high-gloss polishing.
The general rule also applies to the 3M pad series:
- Felt and fur enhance the effectiveness of polishing pastes.
- Hard pads for standard applications with polishing pastes.
- Medium pads for fine polishing pastes.
- Soft polishing foams for high-gloss and anti-hologram polishing.
3M is one of the few manufacturers that offers textured surface polishing foams. The advantage is a more comfortable application, as the pad moves more smoothly on the surface. The temperature remains lower due to improved cooling.
